At Ascent Mind Institute, we believe that accessing high-quality mental health care should be clear, straightforward, and free from unnecessary barriers. To support this vision, our practice operates on a self-pay model, allowing us to provide personalized, evidence-based care without the limitations often associated with insurance. We are currently accepting patients located in North Carolina through secure telepsychiatry.

Choosing a self-pay model means:

• More time and attention during each appointment
   
• No hidden costs or surprise bills
   
• Complete privacy — no diagnostic codes shared with third parties
   
• Flexibility to make clinical decisions based on your needs, not insurance requirements
   

This model allows us to prioritize quality, privacy, and individualized care.

While we do not bill insurance directly, we are happy to provide a superbill after each visit. This document can be submitted to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan’s benefits.

Patients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly to learn more about out-of-network mental health coverage.

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation 60 minutes $300   

Follow-Up Medication Management 20–30 minutes $150   

Ketamine Treatment (Oral Protocol) per session/protocol Pricing discussed during consultation   

Buprenorphine MAT Follow-Up Visits 20–30 minutes $150    

Fees are due at the time of service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA/FSA cards, through our secure payment platform.

• Superbills contain all necessary information for insurance reimbursement.

• Cancellation Policy
  Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee.
